Daniel's Opportunity

I have been reading the book of Daniel. I have read this book at least 11 times before. Today, it hit me, as I was reading. God not only allowed Daniel to be thrown into the lions den to strengthen Daniels faith. Even more, God allowed it so that the King could believe in Him.
I had to ask myself, how much more is my life to be a testimony of Christ? At some point in our lives we all make a choice. To either serve God and allow Him to work in and through us, or to turn our backs on Him. As I go though a tough time in my life, I choose to serve Christ, to allow Him to be in control of my life. No matter the cost. Daniel didn't have the Grace that we have through Christ. I strongly believe that more was given to me, therefore, more is expected. When I was Born-Again I was in a horrible, wretched state. Much, much, was given to me as a free gift. The free gift of salvation. I, in return, need to be just as forgiving.
All things are permissible for me, not all things are expedient.
